On August 3rd, NHL veteran Jim Dowd, a Point Pleasant native who was recently named the new head coach of the Manasquan/Point Beach high school hockey cooperative program, will host his annual Shoot For The Stars Game at the Red Bank Armory.
The Shore Conference all-star game, which pits the best high school players from Monmouth and Ocean Counties against each other, also acts as a fundraising event, which for the past three years has benefited the Food Bank of Monmouth & Ocean County. However, according to Dowd, the funds raised this year will be benefiting a new, yet-to-be-named, cause.
This afternoon, Dowd unveiled the rosters for his Shoot For The Stars Game and as is per usual, it's a who's who of Shore Conference star power.
